Word to the nerd!

 It’s looking increasingly likely that this column is going to wind up being monthly as other commitments both online and off are prohibiting me from taking the time out for the fun side projects at the moment. Should time become more readily available then I’ll revert to the weekly updates.

Bon Voyage, Ghettosocks

As previously posted in the news section, I finally got my interview with Ghettosocks while he was in the U.K. We chatted over a cooked breakfast early one morning and I found him to be far more shy than expected. I was overjoyed that he wore his on-stage glasses throughout the interview.

‘Socks took off on tour with The Herbaliser shortly after and played a couple of packed out shows in the south of France before heading off around Europe.

Lars & Random To Tour The U.K?

It could be! We already knew that MC Lars would be heading back to the U.K. in the spring but Random (Megaran) also tweeted that he would be over here in Spring too. Coincidence? Either way, it’s great news that I’ll get to see at least two Nerdcore rappers next year.

Superpowerless T.V.

In my last column I mentioned that Superpowerless was working on a T.V. project for U.K. television station, Channel 4. That project is now complete (He nailed it first time!) and his part of the programme titled 2012: Mashed will be shown on British T.V. on the 28th of December at 11:20pm. And finally…

It’s nearly Christmas and you can expect something special to come from The Unheard Nerd Podcast this year. I’d love to go into more details but I think we’d like to spring it as a surprise. So keep an eye out for that. It’s likely to be carnage.
